Does that mean something is wrong with me? I hope not.
I definitely haven't read any of those books, but I did see the movie Thank You For Smoking, and it is amazing! It is so funny and that book is also on my list. My thinking is that when a movie made from a book is great, the book is always better than the movie, so the book must be great too. However, I can't verify this, but wow, great movie!

It's a retelling of The Great Gatsby, about high school.
I've read both Angels and Demons and Da Vinci's Code, and they're pretty good. I especially like the fact that you can never predict the flow of the story, it simply keeps surprising you
What's Jake, Reinvented about? I see it in the library all the time, but I've never bothered to pick it up.
The reason that I read Korman is that he's often hilarious. I don't like it when he tries to be semi-serious (i.e., Jake, Reinvented and the Island series and other adventure books) except during comic relief...
Not particularly, though there were some amusing moments.

yes, I remember now, that's the one. I didn't like it. It was utterly pointless, and has no real redeaming value because the boys don't leave, even when they are given the chance to go freely, and none of the characters learn anything.
OOH, i've read surviving the applewhites...didn't see it there. Great book.
I think it's called I Want to Go Home. I haven't read that one, though.

Tolan because it was for skool and i've read Hell's Angel by Sonny Barger with Keith and Kent Zimmerman because i got it for my birthday. i can't really remember if the books were good or not because i don't really remember which title goes to wehat story but i know i read those
I haven't read any either, but I read the DaVinci Code, and if Angels and Demons is the prequal I'll read it for sure..
To be perfectly honest, I can't remember the title of the one Gordon Korman book I read. It was on a recommended reading list of youth fiction, and I was curious. It was the one where these two boys keep trying to escape from camp.
Um...yeah...it's good. It's definitely not an upper, that's for sure. It's really depressing and sad, but I like the way it's written, and it's an interesting read, period. Gives you a bit of insight into the life of rich, bored kids in Beverly Hills in the 80's.
Is it good? I want to read it because a long time ago some people critiquing something I wrote said it reminded them of Bret Easton Ellis.

Yeah. I'm Canadian. I've lived in the U.S. all my life so far but when I'm eighteen or older I might move to Canada for a while to be a bartender (here you have to be 21). I started reading Gordon Korman when a relative in Canada sent my brother The Toilet Paper Tigers. That book's so funny. What books have you read by him?

I used to go to Orson Scott Card's website (it used to have a young writers' group) and I decided to read Ender's Game when my brother read it and seemed to like it (he HATES reading normally). I read the beginning and I didn't like it. A lot of people really love it, though.
I've read that! Have you read it's paralex, Ender's Shadow? To be perfectly honest, I liked Ender's Shadow more than Ender's Game.

Every single person here needs to read Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. Its the most amazing book ever.

Wow, you've got two Canadian authors up there. I haven't read read any of those books, but I have read books by Korman and Oppel. Even got to meet Oppel once. He's a nice guy. For Airborn, he own Canada's highest literary honour, the Governor General's award. Which is very encouraging to me, since it was a science fiction novel and I'm a sff writer.

The only book on your list that I have read is On the Road by Jack kerouac. I really enjoyed the book. I love the works written by the beat generation
I haven't read any of those books but my friend told me that Angels and Demons is a very good book. I might read it myself.
